3rd of March starts the browntrout season on the Monnow, Usk and Wye and without fail I get out and fish. Not that I don’t fish in the winter, its just one of those thing. I can fish for brown trout so will.

September is always a busy time when it comes to fly fishing for Trout so as the trout season has now ended I have time to write a summary of the month and post s few pictures

Muddy Monnow

Arrived at the Monnow this morning thinking that the river may be carrying a little coloured water. Hmm!! Bit of an understatement.

Fished on the Monnow today at Skenfrith with PD. Most of the day we covered different aspects of nymph fishing. Upstream single nymphand a bit of Czech Nymph.

Just a quick entry to say although I planned to spend a lot of time writing this month I spent most of the month fly fishing I am not complaining.
