End of the 2009 Trout season

October 6th, 2009

Well this years trout fishing season is over and looking back over my blog I can see it had been a really busy season mostly by the lack of posts made.
Much of my time when not out with clients or fishing has been taken up by the kids especially the new addition. My youngest son was born in July and since then my spare time been taken up with either him or his brother. Not wanting to explain to the missus that I was going out fishing and no I did not have a client today :o
I had started out this season with the intention of writing a lot more for this years blog but to be honest I don’t really write to well when I am tired and for the latter part of the season I was only really out on the river while giving fly fishing lessons.

Although posts have been thin on the ground the fish certainly have not, well not until the last month or so when river conditions where so low that fishing was hard to say the least.
I did still had a couple of cracking days though, if you know where to look the odd belter can be winkled out.

As you can see Bill was shocked at the quality of fish that you can find in some of these small streams if you know where to look ;)

Here is looking forward to the 2010 season but first where are those Grayling flies.
