While the trout season is approaching the weather has not really been that conducive to fly fishing for any species. So I have been filling my time with working on a construction site in Swansea. The advantage of this is that as the trout season gets closer I am anticipating it with a greater fervor than usual. Which indeed is saying something. the disadvantage is that Swansea is a long way from the Forest of Dean leaving me no time mid week for fly tying or any other pre-season preparation work. All it really leaves me time for mid week is eating and sleeping.

I also became aware while thinking of a title for this page that we have to wait an extra day for the Trout season to start this year. Still its only one more day and this disappointment pales in to insignificance by the excitement cause by the approaching season.
