Fly Fishing Instructor and Casting Tuition

What is a fly fishing instructor?

As a fly fishing instructor I offer instruction covering many aspects of fly fishing from casting techniques to river craft and equipment set up,as well as, casting tuition and a fly fishing guide service.

Sessions can be held at any of the rivers in the South Wales area or at my recommended trout fishery. They can also be held at a location convenient to you.

I am fortunate enough to be situated between some of the most beautiful wild trout rivers in the country.
On our doorstep are the rivers Monnow, Wye and Usk and also the Wye tributaries: the Lugg and the Arrow and Monnow tributaries: the Dore and the Honndu. I am also in easy reach of the upper Wye tributaries.

  • I hold a GAIC (Game Angling Instructor Certificate).
  • I am a member of the Game Angling Instructors Association (G.A.I.A.).
  • I am a level 2 angling coach L2CCA (game).
  • I am fully insured and have undergone child protection training and have a current CRB certificate.
  • I am a first aid instructor (Emergency First Response).
  • I am a member of both the Salmon and Trout Association and The Wild Trout Trust

But most of all I love fishing and am passionate about helping others get the most from this graceful and exhilarating sport.
